Established in 1950, the Stainless Equipment Company (SECO) is one of the UK’s largest architectural polishers, thanks to steady organic growth and the fact that it maintains a policy of offering the highest quality polishing service when it comes to finishing all metals. These include BMA toning and specially developed finishes as required for a wide range of industries and clients, for both new build and refurbishment applications.

General information

Having achieved Quality Assured status, and maintaining continued investment toward research and development to ensure the latest and unique techniques of polishing are adopted, SECO can achieve customer requirements where others fail. The company’s portfolio boasts works completed in relation to the majority of the country’s prestigious and historic buildings. The end user client portfolio covers banks, retail, residential, municipal, museums, pharmaceutical producers and commercial clients, as well as world famous artists, and the food sector amongst others. SECO polishes all metals in all shapes and sizes to a wide range of finishes, as requested, and the level of surface polish can be controlled by use of RA reader. SECO’s standard range of hand finishing includes all the widely used terms, from any grit through to satin to a developed mirror polish. Additionally, its skills include the ability to weld blend in order to create seamless pencil fillets. The company’s facilities can accommodate small components such as ironmongery and automated bar polishing to larger items of art or sculpture of several tonnes in weight; the size being restricted only by transport facilities.
