To kick off , we're sharing some of the pledges made by clinicians attending our recent Leg Ulcer Care and Management Workshop at the University of Lancashire, along with Natalie and Rachael.

Each pledge is a 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗯 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲.

💜𝗟𝗶𝗽𝗼𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮 𝗜𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗢𝗯𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆. 𝗟𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗜𝘁.

Did you know that lipoedema is estimated to affect around 𝟭𝟭% 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 worldwide?

Yet many people are still unaware of the condition - and those living with it are often misunderstood.

Lipoedema is a chronic condition that causes an abnormal build-up of fat, most commonly in the legs, hips and arms. Importantly, it is 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗯𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 and cannot simply be resolved through diet and exercise alone.

💜This 𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗼𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵, we're helping to raise awareness, challenge misconceptions and support those affected by lipoedema.
