Our crutches are silent with a squidgy neoprene grip which is removable and washable. The cuff is closed, but can be removed to have an open cuff. They are adjustable on the main stem and between the grip and the cuff. Coolcrutches are

sold singly and in pairs. They come in a wide different colours/patterns, including black and white spots and leopard print. We have had amazing feedback, with one permanently disabled lady saying it was like swapping a rackety old truck for a Ferrari!

🚢 THIS is what 200+ donated mobility aids looks like.

Yesterday we visited PhysioNet HQ with another huge collection of crutches, walking sticks and mobility aids donated by our incredible community.

Together, we helped pack PhysioNet’s 196th shipment of mobility equipment, which is now on its way to Malawi. 🇲🇼

What many people don’t realise is that millions of mobility aids sit unused in cupboards, garages and spare rooms across the UK or worse end up in landfill.

Meanwhile, around the world, people are waiting months or even years for access to equipment that could help them walk, work, attend school, care for their families and live more independently.

That’s why this partnership matters.

Every crutch, walking stick and mobility aid donated through Cool Crutches is collected, sorted and refurbished before being given a second life helping someone who needs it.

What started as a simple idea has grown into something truly extraordinary:

What better way to kick off a new month than with the sensational, elegant and immeasurably strong .adzoa.moore - a true performer, talent and exceptional dancer who has used our crutches to support her flourishing professional dancing career after hospital crutches hindered more than they helped ✨

Whilst this may look easy, anyone who uses crutches daily will know it’s absolutely not 😳 - one of a kind, Sophia’s story has been and continues to be beautiful to witness, in every way.

Here’s to a shiny new month and strong steps forward for us all!

20 years ago I was told I might never walk again.

Aged 19, a quad bike accident left me with a spinal injury, paralysis and a pair of NHS crutches that hindered, not helped me to move.

The immediate aftermath was all about what I’d lost and what I’d never get back and yet the life I have now looks nothing like the doctors described from my hospital bed.

I walk, I work, I found someone who sees me, not my disability and I became a mum - the very thing I wanted most and feared most at the same time.

Only a year after my accident, my mum Clare and I built better crutches - Cool Crutches is now 19 years old, but honestly, it’s only just beginning.

I sadly can’t tell you there is a magic pill that makes things better, honestly what happens to you is out of your control. BUT what you do next isn’t.

Travelling with a walking aid can feel overwhelming, not because you can’t travel, but because so many places still aren’t designed with accessibility in mind.

Over time, I’ve learned that the smallest travel hacks can make the biggest difference ✈️

From requesting airport assistance to leaving room for rest days (particularly the day after flying), these are the tips we genuinely wish more people talked about.
