TPA is Hiring: Senior Lead Driver & Operative (Class 1)
TPA, part of Vp plc, is recruiting Senior Lead Driver & Operatives (Class 1) to join our team supporting the delivery, installation and recovery of portable roadway systems used across major infrastructure, construction and rail projects throughout the UK.
This is a key field-based role where you will operate Class 1 vehicles while also taking a lead position on site, working as part of a small operational team to deliver specialist temporary access solutions.
We currently have two opportunities available:
📍 Lesmahagow, Scotland, UK
📍 Swindon, England, UK
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Licence Required: Class 1 (C+E) HGV Licence
Package: Competitive salary with excellent earning potential, including bonuses and night out allowances
What you’ll be doing:
✔ Leading and working alongside a small operational team on site
✔ Delivering, installing and recovering portable roadway equipment
✔ Operating lorry loader cranes (HIAB)
✔ Ensuring safe, compliant and efficient site operations
✔ Providing a professional service to customers across the UK
What we’re looking for:
✔ Class 1 (C+E) licence, CPC and digital tachograph card
✔ HGV driving experience (crane/HIAB experience desirable)
✔ Strong commitment to safety, compliance and customer service
✔ Willingness to work away from home during the week
✔ A proactive and team-focused approach
