After a long weekend off due to the storm and strong winds, it was straight back to it Monday and Tuesday lifting boats out.

Today though we were down Germoe, heavy pruning some trees, 🌲 at a property.
Working on the customers driveway
we broke out the big timber mats to
keep ground pressures as low as possible.

Boats, Boats, Boats, story of my life at the moment 🤣

Whilst winter lay ups continue across our regular boat yards, here are a few pictures from the last couple of days at Grove Place in Falmouth.
Here we lift each boat out, pressure wash and land it in its winter storage space.
Thankfully the weather has been on our side but that looks set to change over the next couple of days. (Might get a day off 🤔)

There is also a picture of Winston washing the Crane (if only), and a possible answer to the current diesel prices, might need highways to raise some bridges 🤣.

October so far, new sponsorship sign, 2.5T sauna into the rear of a property in Crantock, boat launched down at Hayle, many boats lifted out in Falmouth and Penzance. Whilst in Penzance a job came in to whip up to Sheffield to lift 2 pallets of Oak onto a property build, also some timber framing and trusses, and a whole lot more.

Today marks 19 years in Business!!
1st October 2007 was when it all started for me, my predecessor Jim the Crane, stayed around in case I needed help for the first month but mainly I was flying solo.

In 19 years there has been 3 cranes, 1 new engine, 2 gearbox rebuilds, a whole host of breakdowns and running repairs, blood, sweat, and a hell of a lot of Swearing at things that can’t reply.

Insurance costs have more than doubled, fuel (red diesel) was about 30p a litre I believe when I started, and as we all know it’s now £2 a litre

I’d like to thank all my customers past and present, along with all the suppliers, who help keep us on the road and picking things up, and especially my other half Sarah Leggo who behind the scenes keeps all the book work in order.

Being on call 24/7 365 for emergencies, it’s not a job everyone would want, but I BLOODY LOVE IT, not to say I don’t moan about it some times.

A little Sunday evening job over Truro, to change the fans on a cooler at a well known supermarket.

Winston 🐾 was on parade to keep an eye on things and make sure all went smoothly.
