Happy Christmas everyone.
We are closed from the end of business today (23rd of December) until the new year.
If in the meantime you need us, we will be checking email and voicemails while closed.
If you breakdown, please feel free to have it transported to our front car park, put the keys through the letterbox and send us an email. As soon as we know it is here, we will retrieve the keys and look into the fault where possible.

Emails are back up and running as of 5pm today, but yet to be properly tested.
Any emails sent to us from over the weekend until today at 5pm, will probably have bounced back to the sender, or have vanished into the internet abyss.
If you sent an email between those times, please try again.
Our email server providers really dragged their feet on this one, 4 to 5 days in total without email is crazy in this day and age.

Now the email servers have crashed! It could be due to the increase in emails, but we would not have thought so.
hopefully they will be online again later this afternoon, in the meantime if your email to us bounces back to you as "undeliverable" please try again later today.

Our website at www.jmgporsche.co.uk has now been updated with the front page mentioning the problem of increased call volumes and how we would prefer people to email us, or send a facebook message for the time being if they need to contact us.
This page should be live shortly.
Our priority at the moment needs to be working on cars already here, and cars that already have an appointment.
This also means that recently we have also not been able to provide technical advice over the phone or email, until the demand, email volumes and voicemail volumes subside.

We are currently, and have been experiencing extremely high volumes of calls, so many that we can not answer them all, as this would take us away from pre booked appointments and cars already here. If you need us, please email us or send a facebook message to us.
This will calm down in a few weeks and can be usual at this time of year due to classic Porsche owners who have not used their car over winter, getting them out of hibernation and realising they do not start, need an MOT or need a service.
We are currently solidly booked for about 4 weeks, and even 6 weeks into the future we are very nearly fully booked up.
The volume of calls should subside soon, but it is much heavier at the moment than we have ever experienced, even at this time of year, which is also being reflected in volumes of emails and walk in customers, which is threatening our ability to get on with the cars already here... So please plan ahead if you need to book your car in with us for something routine, like servicing or MOT tests etc.
For breakdowns, we will do anything we can to help where possible, but please email rather than calling.
Jon is currently working late into the evenings keeping up with emails, estimating and complicated diagnosis work, but he is having to prioritise the cars already here.

Help us to help you.
We are currently in peak seasonal demand and getting swamped with work, so please book as far in advance as possible and let us know everything you need performing when booking, this will avoid you dropping off your Porsche and saying "While you are at it, could you...." and then your car being here for a long period waiting for a gap in the schedule to perform the extra work needed.
We have plenty of slots on the service bay, but diagnosis and non service repairs are very very busy right now.

928 on the 28th...
This is a bit of a sad milestone, the 928 model is being discontinued here at JMG Porsche after 30 years, along with the 356, 912 and any pre 1984 911 to narrow our focus.
