Get ready for Mowing season

I have been out and welded a new drawbar ring to this bale trailer. Although it wasn't the worst I have ever seen the manager wanted to be safe rather than sorry. The old ring didn't put up much of a fight. A good clean up , weld my cut marks and it was time to get the new one welded on . Straightened the trailer shoe and a bit of attention to the ladders and it's back to work .

An oldie but a Goldie! 1996 Matbro TS270 having a service . It's in very good condition considering its age. A few little problems were found while I was working on it . It needs a new belt , handbrake pads and probably going to replace the track rod ends in the near future

Ford 6810 having a little trouble starting and stopping . The stop lever on the injection pump had come loose and was nearly off . With some delicate spanner action it was put right . Clutch adjusted and cross shaft lubricated as it was quite stiff and it's back to work 👍🏼

A change to the normal for the end of this week. I'm helping my Dad with one of his favourite winter jobs . He learnt to hedge lay probably 10 years ago and I have never had the chance yet to learn from him . The weather isn't in our favour but we managed to knock out a big chunk today . Tomorrow I am going to have a go at doing some of the laying and hopefully don't slow the job up too much !

Service for both the quad and trailed topper. The topper needed 2 new drive belts and some fettling to the throttle and choke linkages. The topper is ready for when spring comes and the quad can carry on working through the winter.

New Year ....... New ME! ............ NOT!!!!
I'm still driving about in my van and fixing things. Still loving life even though it's been less than favourable weather wise .
Lots of layers , hats , gloves and hot soup for lunch.
Here is a cattle trailer I have been working on. It wasn't looking too bright because half the lights weren't working. A few new light units, a new junction box and some broken wiring repaired , its back road worthy .... Almost. I will be back to fit a new hitch as it's worn and loose.

A wintery day called for a winter service in a ride on John Deere. Full engine service, deck off , cleaned, new blades and everything given the once over . Very clean and tidy 19 year old machine all ready for another year .
The AEC matador was treated to a new alternator and power steering belt .
