🔬 Same programme. Different responses.
Why do older adults respond differently to the same exercise training programme?
A new study published in the European Journal of Applied Physiology explores how individual factors influence improvements in muscle strength and physical performance following a 12-month training programme.
The research, involving 288 older adults, found significant improvements in muscle strength and walking performance, while highlighting considerable differences in how individuals responded to training.
💡Key finding: Greater adherence to resistance training was associated with higher responsiveness across multiple physical outcomes.
HUR’s air-pressure resistance training equipment and SmartTouch technology were used in the study’s training programme.
We sincerely thank our research partners for their valuable work and continued contribution to advancing scientific knowledge in healthy ageing.
