In electronics manufacturing, many quality issues only become visible late in the process.

Flux residues, remaining oxide layers or voids in solder joints are often treated as isolated problems rather than connected symptoms.

With increasing miniaturization and higher power densities, oxidation on metal surfaces becomes a critical and frequently underestimated process variable. It directly affects wetting, adhesion and electrical contact quality, and therefore the yield and long‑term reliability.

This takes a step back and looks at oxide reduction as a targeted process step.

Using the REDOX® Tool as a reference, the session discusses how oxide layers can be addressed inline and reproducibly, especially in applications where wet chemistry or flux-based approaches reach their limits.

The session focuses on:
• typical integration points in electronics manufacturing
• production-related constraints
• and the question of how to move from short-term symptom treatment to sustainable process stability

The conversation at SAMPE made one thing clear: surface preparation is becoming more critical than ever.

Over the past week, we’ve had a number of great follow-up discussions after our presentation at SAMPE - especially around composite bonding and surface preparation.

One thing has become increasingly clear: as materials and performance requirements evolve, achieving consistent, reliable adhesion remains a key challenge across the industry.

Spring is slowly arriving at our headquarters in Steinhagen. And as the seasons shift, many things naturally change with them. But some changes in life are unexpected — and can turn a family’s world upside down.

That’s exactly where 🌟 Sterntaler e.V. steps in. The organization supports children and teenagers who have lost a close family member or are navigating separation or family conflict.

The association empathically supports affected families through conversations, group activities, and creative approaches that help children understand and process their feelings.

With our Christmas donation last year, we were able to contribute to this important work, however small. One important thought for us is that support matters most when it’s truly needed.

After Work Event – mediterran, gesund & richtig lecker 🍝

Nur zwei Tage nach dem kräftezehrenden Hermannslauf haben wir uns bereits zum nächsten Teamevent getroffen, diesmal ganz entspannt nach Feierabend.

Zum Einstieg gab es einen kurzen Input zur gesunden Ernährung mit praktischen Tipps zu mehr Energie, guten Fetten, hochwertigen Kohlenhydraten, Proteinen und einfachem Mealprep im Arbeitsalltag. Anschließend haben wir gemeinsam Wraps, Bowls, Aufstriche und Desserts zubereitet und genossen.

Danke an unsere Ernährungsberaterin Sewing für die inspirierenden Impulse rund um gesunde Ernährung, die alltagstauglich ist und Spaß macht 🙌

Wir hatten einen rundum gelungenen Abend, gute Gespräche, leckeres Essen und eine entspannte Atmosphäre 💙
