Our Story

The Gottschild GmbH in Halle Westfalen / Germany is a mechanical engineering company specialized in building machines for furniture component production. With an extensive product portfolio of polishing, sanding and brushing machines, gantry robots and foil rack paternosters Gottschild offers customized individual solutions for your furniture manufacturing. Special machines, conveyors and customer-specific adaptations are developed and built by Gottschild according to your specifications.

The company was founded 1985 as „Gottschild Steuerungsbau“ ( electrical engineering ) in Halle Westfalen / Germany. In 1990 the company was transformed into a limited liability company and business activity was extended to mechanical engineering. It began with a challenge given by a door manufacturer in middle of Germany - a machine for automatically trimming of membrane pressed parts. The result: the first fully-automated trimming robot, now in operation since 1991 - a forefather of the Gottschild CS-series machines. Short time later Gottschild started with worldwide marketing of that new technology and today Gottschild systems are in operation across the globe. Gottschild's customer list reads like a Who's Who list of leading furniture manufacturers in Europe, United States, and Australia.

In beginning of year 2000 Gottschild developed the world's first disc brushing machine to remove the over-spray glue on the backs of 3D furniture fronts. Based on this proven technology, as of 2006 followed the further development of a polishing and sanding machine for lacquered high-gloss furniture fronts and Corian®
