A new balo arrives. And suddenly, everyone wants to have a closer look. 💚

That’s what we like about moments like this: a new piece of rehabilitation technology doesn’t just enter a clinic – it starts conversations, creates ideas and gets a whole team thinking about what could be possible for their patients.

This time at PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wiregrass Ranch in Florida, together with Frank Menzler from THERA-Trainer USA.

One photo, one new balo – and hopefully the beginning of many meaningful therapy sessions.

And there’s evidence behind the training approach, too: clinical studies show significantly greater improvements when training with the THERA-Trainer balo.

Thank you to the whole team for the warm welcome and the great start! 🙌

From installation to everyday therapy. 💚

A THERA-Trainer lyra only creates value when it becomes part of clinical practice.

Successful implementation goes beyond setup. It means:

✅ Training with experienced trainers
✅ Building confidence in everyday use
✅ Creating real added value for therapists and patients

At Gräfliche Kliniken in Bad Driburg, our colleagues Alex Kamps and Oliver Härtel supported the installation and initial training of the clinical team – laying the foundation for safe, confident and effective use in robot-assisted gait rehabilitation.

A throwback to an important first step – because technology creates impact when people know how to use it well.

Some journeys are about reaching the summit. Others are about knowing when to turn around. 🏔️

Over the years, we’ve followed several of our colleague David Gross’s mountain adventures – and once again, he has returned with a story that deserves to be told.

This time, his journey took him to P*k Lenin. Physically, David felt as strong as ever. But high on the mountain, at around 6,400 metres, an approaching snowstorm changed everything.

In moments like these, strength is no longer just about pushing forward. It’s about experience, judgement and making the right decision when conditions leave no room for error.

We’re incredibly proud of David – not only for taking on another extraordinary challenge, but for the determination, discipline and respect for the mountain that such an expedition demands.

We’re happy to share a few impressions from this remarkable journey. 💚

Welcome back, David – and congratulations on another unforgettable adventure! 🙌

What can rehabilitation systems learn from each other? 🌍

Around the world, rehabilitation faces similar challenges – but countries are finding very different ways to respond.

From prevention in Japan and interdisciplinary care in Canada to digital rehabilitation in Scandinavia, one thing becomes clear: progress happens when we look beyond our own system and learn from what already works elsewhere.

The new THERAPY Magazine article explores international approaches to more accessible, connected and patient-centred rehabilitation – and what they could mean for the future of care.

Maxing out those reps. 💚

Great to see Macy training with the THERA-Trainer lyra and putting in the repetitions that matter.

Thank you to VIM Health for sending us this clip and for sharing a glimpse into everyday gait rehabilitation.

🗨️ "Modern rehabilitation technologies are essential for us.”

A strong statement from Dr. Schorl, Head of Neurology at Waldburg-Zeil Kliniken in Bad Wurzach – backed by his experience in neurological rehabilitation.

For him, modern rehabilitation technology plays an important role in translating scientific principles of motor learning into the intensity and repetition patients need – particularly when they are severely affected.

In the interview, he shares his experience with robot-assisted gait rehabilitation and the THERA-Trainer lyra, including patients for whom the path back to mobility had previously seemed very limited.

His perspective shows what can happen when scientific evidence, clinical expertise and intensive rehabilitation come together: new perspectives on mobility – even in challenging cases. 💚

Same Route. Different Goal. 💚

Rehabilitation and performance training may start from very different places – but they share one principle: progress happens when we challenge our limits.

For one person, that might mean pushing for the next level of performance. For another, it might mean standing more independently, improving balance or regaining confidence in movement.

With the THERA-Trainer balo, the challenge can be adapted to the individual – while providing the support and safety needed to push boundaries with confidence.

Different starting points. Different goals.
The same drive to move forward.

Can games improve rehabilitation? 🎮

Game-based training can make rehabilitation more engaging and provide patients with direct feedback on their movements. But does greater motivation automatically make a therapeutic game effective?

A clinical feasibility study using the THERA-Trainer balo explored how sensor-based game applications can be integrated into balance training. The results showed high patient acceptance and motivation – while also raising an important question: What does it take to turn game mechanics into meaningful therapy?

Our THERAPY Magazine article takes a closer look at the study, its findings and limitations, and why the connection between movement, feedback and clinical objectives is crucial.

Strengthening partnerships and exploring healthcare in India. 🇮🇳💚

From Bangalore to New Delhi, our International Business Development Manager Bettina Bub and Head of New Business Development Fabian Scheffold spent several days connecting with partners and gaining valuable insights into the Indian healthcare landscape.

A key part of the trip was the personal exchange with our partners Right Avenue MedTech, Sedaxis, Falcohawks and Hospimax Healthcare . Together, we discussed opportunities for rehabilitation in India, shared perspectives and explored how we can further develop our collaboration.

Visits to hospitals and clinics also provided valuable first-hand insights into clinical practice, local needs and the structures of healthcare delivery in India.

Beyond the business side, it was a great opportunity to experience the country firsthand and return with many new impressions, ideas and perspectives.

Thank you to everyone who welcomed us, shared their expertise and made this journey so valuable. We see great potential in India and look forward to taking the next steps together! 🚀
