For about a year now, Laempe + Fischer has been representing ABP Induction in France and North Africa. One of the main points of contact for customers in this region is Pierre Risser. The 34‑year‑old combines technical understanding with close customer engagement and supports projects from the initial inquiry through to commissioning. In this role, he sees himself above all as the link between customers and ABP. Read the full story now: https://abpinduction.com/en/a-bridge-builder-between-customers-and-technology/

Which outfit looks best on our CEO, Till Schreiter, and our Head of System Sales, Alexander Keller? 😉

Over the past few weeks, the two of them have been visiting ABP’s valued partners and customers in São Paulo as part of the trade show - which also included tours of production facilities.

The question of the best outfit has a serious underlying reason: Safety is a top priority for all our partners and customers - and as a manufacturer and supplier, we, too, pay meticulous attention to it both in our factories and during our service calls. And as you can see from the photos of our visits to our partners Tupy, PAM Saint-Gobain Brasil, and Metalslider, workplace safety is also a top priority there.

Thank you to our customers and partners for making these visits to Brasil possible and for taking the topic of workplace safety so seriously!

Three exciting days at Aluminium China 2026 are behind us, and we would like to thank everyone who visited the ABP Induction team in Shanghai.

Trade fairs are much more than an opportunity to present technologies. They are where ideas are exchanged, partnerships are strengthened and new perspectives emerge. Throughout the event, we had many inspiring conversations with customers, partners and industry experts about one of the defining challenges facing the aluminum industry: how to combine sustainable production with maximum efficiency and competitiveness.

A particular highlight was our conference presentation, "ABP Induction – A Contribution to Decarbonization in Aluminum Foundries and Production through Induction Technology." It demonstrated how modern induction technology can help aluminum producers significantly reduce CO₂ emissions, increase energy efficiency, minimize metal losses and integrate more intelligently into future energy systems. The strong interest and engaging discussions following the presentation confirmed that these topics are becoming increasingly important across the global aluminum industry.

For ABP, the exhibition once again reinforced our conviction that the transition toward low-carbon aluminum production is not a distant vision - it is already happening. Together with our customers and partners, we are proud to contribute proven induction solutions that support this transformation.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to meet with us. We look forward to continuing our conversations and developing the next generation of sustainable aluminum processing together.

Every successful project is the result of people working together. Reflecting on this, project reached an important milestone as the first test run of the new ABP induction melting system was successfully completed.

The project is being realized for SCK CEN, one of Europe's leading nuclear research institutes, and supports research into the melting and treatment of different radioactive materials generated during the operation and decommissioning of nuclear power plants. Delivering a solution for such a demanding application requires not only proven technology, but also precision, reliability and close cooperation throughout the entire project.

The installed system combines two complementary ABP furnace solutions:
• FS 40 medium-frequency induction furnace with 1,700 kW power
• EcoLine H crucible furnace with 450 kg capacity and 350 kW power
Together, they provide a highly flexible platform for a broad range of melting and research applications, combining the performance and advanced process control of the FS 40 with the compact, versatile design of the EcoLine H.

What makes this milestone particularly remarkable is the project timeline. From order to commissioning, the entire project had to be realized in less than two months. Meeting this challenge required outstanding commitment, fast decision-making and seamless collaboration across multiple ABP locations and disciplines.

Project LYRA is a great example of what can be achieved when engineering expertise, customer focus and teamwork come together. Throughout the project, our teams worked closely with colleagues around the world and in continuous dialogue with our customer, responding quickly to changing requirements while keeping quality and reliability at the highest level.

Our sincere thanks go to everyone who contributed to making this milestone possible. Your dedication, expertise and collaborative spirit are what turn ambitious projects into successful reality.

We are proud to support SCK CEN with this important research project and look forward to the next stages of Project LYRA.

Just before gets underway, we’d like to highlight our fantastic partners at GoBR Solutions, who, based in Joinville, do a truly brilliant job for our customers in Brazil – from repairs and spare parts to a wide range of other services such as retrofitting and troubleshooting, the team of around 20 people led by Carlos Guedes and Fabio Morato is always on hand – both for users of ABP machines and systems and, of course, for us at ABP ourselves.

Through our collaboration with GoBR, we at ABP are also strengthening our market presence in Brazil – bringing us even closer to our customers and users. This will also be evident at the upcoming 2026 in São Paulo – naturally, you’ll be able to meet representatives from both GoBR and our ABP team in Pavilion 7, C25 Rua C at São Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. Please feel free to visit our booth and discuss your next project with us regarding improving efficiency, decarbonization and the digitalization of your plants.

In the run-up to in Brazil, the ABP team is continuing to travel the region to engage with customers. Our CEO, Till Schreiter, and our Head of System Sales, Alexander Keller, recently visited Tupy, a multinational company that develops and manufactures highly complex structural components made of cast iron. Tupy’s solutions are used in various sectors such as freight transport, infrastructure, agriculture and energy generation. These include finished cast iron structural components of high geometric and metallurgical complexity.

For over 80 years, the company has been committed to providing access to healthcare, basic sanitation, drinking water, food and other essential goods in order to improve quality of life – and is thus closely aligned with the socially responsible values that we at ABP also uphold. Another thing we have in common: TUPY has German roots, having been founded in 1938 by the German emigrants Albano Schmidt, Hermann Metz and Arno Schwartz.

Its production facilities are now located in Joinville/SC, São Paulo/SP and Betim/MG (Brazil), as well as in Saltillo and Ramos Arizpe (Mexico) and Aveiro (Portugal). In addition, Tupy has branches in the USA, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands.

If you would like to find out more about our ideas, please visit us from 21 to 24 July at in Pavillon 7 of the São Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.

The 21st edition of is just round the corner, and of course a team from ABP Induction will be there too. Together with our partner GoBR Solutions, we are already on site and are taking the opportunity to connect with our customers ahead of the actual trade fair activities.

Our CEO, Till Schreiter, and our Head of System Sales, Alexander Keller, visited Metalslider in Cachoeira, Betim. Our customer operates seven state-of-the-art furnaces with a production capacity of 30,000 tonnes per month – the production of pig iron in various chemical compositions has been part of Metalslider’s core business since its foundation. In addition, there is a foundry that harnesses the synergies of the entire pig iron production chain.

The company is focusing precisely on those megatrends in which we at ABP see ourselves as a key partner – Metalslider has recognised that the time for transformation has come and is tackling it with innovative solutions. We are delighted to be the “partner on the way to zero emissions”. If you would like to find out more about our ideas for these sectors, please visit us from 21 to 24 July at in Pavilion 7 of the São Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.
