From Istanbul to Mexico – and looking ahead to GIFA 2027!

What an inspiring week for the global foundry community so far! As the 76th World Foundry Congress in Istanbul comes to a close, we look back on valuable discussions, new connections, and exciting perspectives for the future of our industry.

Today also marks a symbolic moment: The World Foundry Organization is passing the baton to Mexico, the next host of the World Foundry Congress! But there is another major industry event already on the horizon: GIFA 2027 in Düsseldorf!

ABP is proud to be part of the official presentation of GIFA 2027, represented by our CEO Till Schreiter, who also serves as President of THERMPROCESS, one of the four leading trade fairs within the GIFA 2027 exhibition portfolio.

For us, this is a great opportunity to help shape the future of our industry – bringing together innovation, international collaboration, and sustainable technologies.

Decarbonization in the foundry industry: Challenges ahead, opportunities within reach!

A full house and great interest in the future of our industry! At the 76th World Foundry Congress in Istanbul, our CEO Till Schreiter took the stage to discuss one of the most important topics facing the global foundry industry: the challenges and opportunities of decarbonization.

What an honor for us - and what a fantastic recognition for ABP Induction! 100 years of foundry expertise – what a milestone!

Last night, ABP had the pleasure of joining the opening celebrations of the 76th World Foundry Congress in Istanbul – and this year, there is a very special reason to celebrate: the World Foundry Organization is marking its 100th anniversary.

Since its foundation in 1926, the WFO has brought together foundry associations, research institutions and industry leaders from around the world, fostering international cooperation, technical excellence and the continuous development of casting technologies.

For ABP, being part of this centenary celebration means a lot. Our own history is deeply rooted in the foundry industry, and we share the belief that progress is driven by exchanging knowledge, building strong international partnerships and continuously developing technologies for the challenges ahead.

So, congratulations to the World Foundry Organization on an impressive 100 years – and thank you for bringing the global foundry community together!

And now we are looking forward to the 76th World Foundry Congress and many inspiring discussions here in Istanbul about innovation, digitalization, sustainability and the future of our industry.

Wow - ein toller Auftakt mit vielen Besuchern und spannenden Gesprächen in der Messe Düsseldorf liegt hinter uns – und unser Team freut sich auf mehr Gespräche am nächsten Tag auf der ALUMINIUM 2026!

Ein Thema, das schon zum Auftakt oft Thema bei uns am ABP-Stand war: Beim Aluminiumschmelzen zählt neben dem Energieverbrauch auch, wie viel wertvolles Material im Prozess erhalten bleibt. Wir konnten gut zeigen, dass effiziente ABP-Induktionsanlagen einen Abbrand von weit unter einem Prozent ermöglichen. Was bedeutet das? Das verbessert die Materialausbeute und eröffnet zusätzliche Potenziale für das Aluminiumrecycling.
