Precision matters, but safety is essential.🦺❤️

For us, precision in everything we do is a top priority, but the safety of our employees is just as important.

Especially in emergency situations, every second can make a difference. Until professional emergency services arrive, it is crucial not to simply wait, but to be able to provide first aid quickly and correctly.

That is why some of our employees have volunteered to become first aiders and attended a dedicated training course.

During the course, they learned, among other things:
🚨How to approach an injured person
🚨Which initial steps to take in an emergency
🚨How to place someone in the recovery position
🚨How to safely remove a helmet
🚨How to perform CPR
.. and much more.
First aid requires knowledge and, above all, regular practice. Repetition builds confidence and helps develop the routine needed to act quickly and effectively. Because in an emergency, every action counts.

Sometimes, the answer isn’t to buy more machines, hire more people or automate more processes.
Because more isn’t always better.

Sometimes, progress starts with taking a closer look at what we already have: questioning established processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and being open to new ideas.
That’s one of the reasons why events like Japan International Machine Tool Fair are so valuable. Experts from across the manufacturing industry come together not only to explore new technologies, but also to exchange ideas, better understand technical challenges and discover where the industry is heading.

Some people prefer emails with a forgotten attachment and ten extra people in CC. We prefer to talk things through in person.

This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming our sales partner Andes Meettechniek for the Benelux countries in Winterthur.

Gunner shared insights into current projects and gave an update on what’s happening on our side. During their trip to Switzerland, the Andes Meettechniek team is also visiting other Swiss companies — and of course, a stop at our place was a must.

We talked projects, products, shared insights and exchanged ideas. That’s exactly what makes meeting in person worthwhile.

And the best part? No endless email threads, no 15 “reply all” messages, just good conversations with everyone around the same table.

You can’t understand a market from a distance. Sometimes, you have to show up 🌍 ✈️

Urs and Gunner recently travelled to India to visit our long-standing representative, Bombay Tools.

For over 50 years, Bombay Tools has been an important partner, connecting us with the Indian market and its customers. A partnership like this is built on trust, strong communication, and continuous exchange.

During their visit, Urs and Gunner met with the Bombay tools team and visited our end customers Jyoti CNC Automation Limited, John Cockerill, Pelican Rotoflex Anadpar, Larsen & Toubro Limited and Tata Motors to gain first-hand insights into their needs, experiences, and challenges.
Markets change, customer needs evolve, and new challenges arise. That’s why staying close to our partners and customers is so important. Nothing replaces a face-to-face conversation when it comes to understanding what really matters on the ground.

Adding some extra voltage to our team ⚡

We’re excited to introduce two new members of our electronics team: A warm welcome to Katia and Kailash!

Katia and Kailash support our production team and take care of the inner workings of our measuring instruments. They make sure our many individual electronic components come together to create a functioning and precise measuring instrument.

This requires not only know-how, but also plenty of patience, concentration and a steady hand. Especially when it comes to our measuring instruments, every small detail matters – and so does careful, precise work.

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to take part in an inspiring leadership training session held by AXA at our facility.

The focus: health prevention and the role we play as leaders.

🔋 What happens when our own battery runs low?
🌱 How can we recognize early on when support is needed?
💬 How do we communicate as a team when challenges arise?
🤝 And how can we, as team leaders, create an environment where open and transparent communication is encouraged?

Among many valuable insights, one thing stood out in particular: The way we show up and manage our own energy has a direct impact on our team. Good leadership starts with self-reflection, attentive communication, and a genuine interest in people.
