Scientific exchange, interdisciplinary collaboration and clinical perspectives once again shaped an inspiring week at Hospitalar 2026 in São Paulo.

At the Swiss Pavilion, our colleagues had the opportunity to connect with clinicians, distributors, partners and healthcare professionals from across Latin America and beyond, discussing current developments in non-invasive treatment technologies across urology, orthopaedics, neurology and rehabilitation.

We presented selected technologies and systems from the fields of Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT), Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy (EMTT) and Transcranial Pulse Stimulation (TPS).

What stood out most throughout the event was the strong interest in knowledge sharing, ongoing clinical research and international collaboration across the medical community.

Kidney stones can affect even the youngest patients and non-invasive treatment options are available.

Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (SWL) is a non-invasive medical treatment option for kidney and ureteral stones. It uses acoustic pulses generated outside the body and focuses them precisely on the stone. The stone may then be fragmented into small pieces, which may pass naturally through the urinary tract.

For pediatric patients, SWL is performed without surgery, without incisions and without surgical instruments. It is usually carried out as an outpatient procedure, depending on the individual case.
