A loader went down at the quarry...

Before long, the loader was running and the site was moving again.

Saving a few bucks on a cheap imported hose can end up very expensive, very quickly.

One of the biggest issues we see is that they’re often not properly tested.
There can be a lot of guesswork involved in how they’re put together.

Sure, you might save some money upfront!

But if that hose blows while you’re out on site...
Suddenly your machine is down, the job stops, and potentially the whole site is being held up.

That small saving doesn’t look so cheap anymore.
Quality matters, especially when downtime is costing you money.

We’ve had customers come to us with a hydraulic hose replaced elsewhere… finding it hasn’t lasted or isn’t working properly.

Often, when we take a closer look, it’s not actually the hose that’s the problem.
It’s how it’s been set up.

Wrong angles.
Poor routing.
A hose being forced to sit somewhere it shouldn’t.

Rather than simply copying what’s already there...

We’ll look at the application, work out why it’s failing and find a better way to route and fit the hose.

The goal isn’t just to get you up and running again today.
It’s to make sure you’re not back fixing the exact same problem again next week.

A few warning signs your hydraulic hose is on the way out...

Keep an eye out for:
- Cracking on the outer cover
- Wire braid starting to show
- Weeping from behind the ferrule
- Oil dripping or leaking
- Hoses becoming stiff and hard

You want your hoses to have some flexibility...
Once they become hard and brittle, that next bit of movement could be the one that finishes them off.

Spot the signs early and get it sorted before you’re dealing with a breakdown.

Hands up if you want to hear a little "origin" story…

Matt’s journey with Hydraulink actually started over in Newcastle.

From there, the job took him across the ditch to New Zealand...
Working through the earthquake period and picking up plenty of experience on the go.

Eventually, the opportunity came to head west and have a crack at running a Hydraulink franchise in Perth.

And the glamorous beginnings?
An old service truck in the driveway at home.

No big operation.
No fancy setup.
Just getting out there, solving problems and building the customer base one job at a time.

Fast-forward to today and things look a little different.

There’s a shopfront in Wangara...
Multiple service trucks, a growing team and a warehouse packed with stock to help get customers back up and running quickly.

We are in the process of hiring a new mobile service technician right now.

But the part Matt likes most hasn’t really changed.
Someone comes in with a problem.
The team finds a way to fix it.
And hopefully they leave a little happier than when they arrived.

Not bad for something that started in the driveway.
