Project Underway in Tamworth C*D

A new 3,300 m² commercial fitout is under construction at The Hub, featuring open-plan workspaces, meeting rooms, comms rooms, a breakout kitchen, kitchenette and accessible amenities.

Early works are well underway, including site establishment, perimeter framing and perimeter wall sheeting, mechanical and building services rough-ins, and core drilling for the wet areas.

The project has involved multiple crane lifts, including over 75 lifts, with approximately 48 tonnes of materials lifted into position. The operation brought together 20 staff and subcontractors, with careful planning and coordination helping set the project up for the next stage of works.

Looking forward to seeing the space take shape as works continue over the coming months!

Project Completion: Mudgee Mines Rescue Training Facility

Handover is now complete on the Mudgee Mines Rescue Training Facility, marking the completion of another complex regional project spanning construction, refurbishment and fit out.

The purpose-built facility brings together classroom and amenity spaces with specialist practical training environments, including a Working at Heights Training Tower, simulated underground mine environment and covered vehicle rescue training area.

Every element of the facility has been carefully planned to support functionality, safety and the demands of real-world training in a regional environment.

It’s been a great project to deliver in Mudgee, we’re looking forward to seeing the facility in action.

Meet Arina, Formline’s HSEQ Coordinator

Arina plays an important role across our projects, regularly visiting sites, checking compliance and working closely with our teams and trades to make sure work is carried out safely and to the right standard.

Through proactive site checks, clear communication and consistent standards, Arina helps make sure safety stays front of mind across every project - ensuring everyone goes home safe, every day.

Project Completion

Delivered within a live banking environment, the Bank Orange internal works were carefully managed around operating hours to minimise noise and disruption, allowing them to remain operational throughout.

With works now complete, the Occupation Certificate has been achieved and the client is moving into their newly refurbished workspace.

We enjoyed the opportunity to strengthen our regional subcontractor network and continue working alongside regional clients and delivering their projects.

OFSC Accreditation

An exciting milestone in Formline’s history, we have achieved accreditation under the Australian Government’s Work Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme, administered by the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC).

Accreditation is a formal recognition of the safety management systems, standards and processes our team upholds on every project, and it reflects the consistent commitment our people bring to site safety, quality and reliability day to day.

It's a great milestone for the team, and one we're looking forward to build on as we continue delivering safe, high-quality outcomes for our clients across every project we take on.

Sales & Public Speaking Training with Trevor Ambrose

Last week, our client-facing team enjoyed a day and a half of training with Trevor Ambrose, we focused on communication, public speaking and the human side of how we connect with others.

From reading the room and understanding body language to the art of storytelling and making a point that lands, the sessions gave the team plenty of practical techniques to communicate with more clarity, confidence and impact.

Investing in these skills is part of our focus on continuing to get better, listening more effectively, understanding the people we work with and creating an experience where our clients feel informed, cared for and confident throughout their journey with Formline.

Thanks Trevor Ambrose for an engaging and valuable couple of days, we are looking forward to putting the techniques into practice!

Project Nearing Completion

The Mudgee Mines Rescue Training Facility is now in its final stages, with works expected to be complete in September!

Works are progressing across both the internal warehouse conversion and external specialist training areas. The new facility brings together dedicated classrooms and amenities with specialised practical training areas, including a Working at Heights Training Tower, simulated underground mine environment and covered vehicle rescue training area.

A great result taking shape for the Mines Rescue team, delivering a purpose-built environment designed to support real-world training and emergency response.

Looking forward to seeing the mines rescue team in action!

Team Day on the Courts

Last Friday, we took the opportunity to step away from the usual pace of the office, put on the Formline tees, and spend the day together on the courts.

With sunshine, plenty of laughs, and some healthy competition, it was a great chance to bring out the team spirit and enjoy time together outside the day-to-day. Thanks also to our Head Architect, Pooja, for making the trip from Brisbane to join us.

A big shout out to Coach Jarrod Campbell for running the day and keeping everyone moving through cardio tennis, pickleball and a mix of games throughout the morning, and finishing off with a doubles tournament in the afternoon.

Congrats to our winners and runners up, and we look forward to the next round of team building!

Project Underway in Mudgee

A new project is kicking off in Mudgee, with the Mines Rescue team relocating to a purpose-built training facility designed to support the next phase of their operations.

This refurbishment will transform an existing building into a training facility, featuring classrooms, wet areas, and breakout spaces, alongside a simulated underground mine for immersive, real-world training and fire rescue scenarios.

It’s been a collaborative process from the outset, and we appreciate the continued support of the trades and suppliers who are instrumental in bringing this project to life.

A well-deserved congratulations to Tim Wellard on his promotion to Project Manager.

Tim’s journey is a strong example of what growth from within looks like at Formline. From Site Foreman, to Site Manager, and now to Project Manager, this promotion reflects not only strong performance, but the way Tim has consistently lived our values of Care, Be Transparent, 80/20 Focus, Make It Happen and No Complacency.

Through his site management on past projects, and by stepping up into project management duties on a recent warehouse build, Tim has demonstrated strong leadership, reliability & commitment to quality outcomes.

It’s been a great journey to see to Tim develop through his career, and live by our purpose of growth by better.
