Working in live fuel environments means there’s no room for guesswork.

Towards the end of last year, the Pro-Torque team delivered canopy repair works at a client depot in Alice Springs, managing the project from early planning and permits right through to final reinstatement.

The canopy structure above the fuel bowser area was carefully removed by crane and relocated away from live infrastructure, allowing extensive structural repairs to be completed safely on the ground before being lifted back into place.

Behind a job like this is a lot of coordination, engineering reviews, safety systems, inspections and planning to make sure every stage runs the way it should.

And that’s where our team thrives.

We’re now using 3D scanning technology, specifically the NAV Viz MLX 3D Scanner, to map sites with precision from day one, helping reduce rework, cut down site time, and improve overall project accuracy.

A full decommissioning and demolition scope, carried out safely, efficiently and without disruption.

From initial site prep and service locating, through to dismantling infrastructure, removing redundant services, and final site remediation, this was an end-to-end job delivered by our team on the ground.

Everything was completed in line with strict safety and environmental requirements, with validation and compliance front of mind at every stage.

A few snapshots from our recent trip to remote Melville Island. 📸 A number of the Pro-Torque crew headed north a couple of weeks ago to complete a maintenance swing at the Melville Island diesel facility, delivering critical inspections, preventative maintenance, and targeted upgrades while realigning the site to a more efficient maintenance cycle.

All the while, tackling the humidity, tropical rain and the usual Top End flies.

Remote projects bring their own challenges, but they also come with views like this. Another solid job delivered by the team. Great work all round.

We’d be lying if we said we didn’t like a bit of fun at Pro-Torque.
