Happy Father's Day to all the dads, grandads and father figures out there🌞

Whether it's cheering from the sideline at weekend sport or getting out and about with family or friends, we love seeing you out there making memories.

But today isn't only about the big gestures. Sometimes what means the most is a little acknowledgement, feeling truly seen and some time to yourself, alongside time with family.

What a fantastic week we had in Mackay, Townsville and Cairns for the ILS FNQ Roadshow!

A huge thank you to the FNQ Team for putting together such a fun, informative and entertaining week of AT education. A special shout out to Sonya Hill, Lissa Caddies, Michael Romagnolo, and Justin Bowler to name a few.

Over 80 OTs and physios joined us in-person and online learning from some of the best in the business:
Josh Chiswell from Quantum Rehab covered the power of prevention, showing how power seat functions can be used proactively to manage pressure and support posture.

Derick Adendorff from Ottobock gave us a tour of neuroorthotics as well as spacsticity management and neuromodulation, introducing us to the Exopulse.

Sarah Uncle from ILS and Clive Dicks from Forté Healthcare tackled pressure care in lying, sharing a practical, evidence-based approach to preventing pressure injuries.

Amy Bjornson from Sunrise Medical supported posture around the clock, showing how sleep systems extend postural management into the night.

Megan Ransley from Rolapal had the room in stitches while explaining how one backrest platform adapts across the full spectrum of seating needs. She also introduced us to the incredible properties of the WovenAir cushion.

Beyond the sessions, therapists connected with each other, got hands-on with the equipment, asked the curly questions and walked away with 6 CPD points 🎓

We can't wait to see you all again next year 💙

A lovely moment to share from our Robina showroom in Queensland.

Peter B recently left a five-star Google review after his visit, and it's entirely about the difference our team member Crystal made:

"Today I had the pleasure of being looked after by Crystal at the Robina showroom, along with my OT, Fiona, from Feros Care. Both of these ladies are total professionals, but as this review is for an ILS employee being Crystal, my focus is on her here.
I have multiple complex disabilities which can tend to lead to uncomfortable situations, however, Crystal's demeanour makes her like liquid gold in this calling, which she has been at for ten years. Her product knowledge is very extensive and her recommendations are spot on. I felt as if I was the only person in the shop when she was with me; and there were a few people there too. And as well, Crystal has a great sense of humour as a bonus; a very funny lady indeed. Thanks, Crystal, you were truly magic :)"

We're bringing clinical education to Far North Queensland this August ☀️

The ILS Roadshow is stopping in Mackay, Townsville and Cairns for a full day of assistive technology learning, made for therapists. Expect practical sessions on pressure management, spasticity management, supported lying and around-the-clock postural care, led by expert presenters from across the industry including our own Sarah Uncle, Head of Clinical Education.

It's a great chance to learn something new, earn CPD points and connect with the local AT community.
