Sometimes you just have to shake your head in disbelief , a customer rang and wanted to buy a " factory Panoramic sunroof "for his 2025 American duel cab ute . I explained that it would not be something we would even contemplating doing , firstly the actual turret in his ute would be just a plain roof with no hole . I tried to explain that a Ute with a factory sunroof would have had it's turret stamped during the ute being built in frame only condition . Then I pointed out that the actual cab area would have extra reinforcing also fitted internally and welded in on the assembly , you just can't cut a huge hole in a roof without special engineering to keep the roof from twisting etc . He then said that his non sunroof ute would have had all that already in place and he started to tell me it was a straight forward job and could be done . I tried in vain to explain that after seeing the inside of thousands of cars across almost every single car brand on earth over the last 60 plus years that I knew what I was talking about . He then said he would find someone else who could help and hung up . Who would you believe a stubborn unknowing owner or someone with over 60 years experience .
