We are pleased to announce that IntelliDesign has joined the Circuitwise Electronics Manufacturing Group.

This acquisition brings together leading electronics design and manufacturing capabilities across Australia and New Zealand, creating one of the region’s largest and most capable electronics design and manufacturing groups, with operations in Sydney, Brisbane, Auckland, and Christchurch.
The Circuitwise Group comprises:
· Circuitwise – a Sydney based contract electronics manufacturer specialising in complex, high-reliability devices
· Nautech – an electronics design and manufacturing company based in Auckland
· ASL – a Christchurch based electronics assembly manufacturer
· IntelliDesign – a Brisbane-based electronics design and manufacturing company specialising in end-to-end product development and manufacturing

IntelliDesign is a key capability hub in Brisbane, complementing the Group’s existing operations across Australia and New Zealand. By combining our expertise, the integrated teams will deliver expanded design capabilities, increased manufacturing capacity, and enhanced quality and traceability systems to better support customers operating in high-reliability and mission-critical sectors.

IntelliDesign will continue to operate under its own name, with its leadership team remaining in place.

Together, we are strengthening supply chain resilience, increasing production capacity, and maintaining consistent quality, while continuing to deliver the exceptional service our customers expect.

Congratulations to Gilmour Space Technologies on their Eris launch today! The first Australian made orbital launch vehicle to lift off from Australian soil! IntelliDesign is thrilled to witness such a monumental achievement and proud to support a team that's pushing the boundaries of innovation and engineering.

IntelliDesign are proud to have worked with Gilmour Space, providing our electronic design and manufacturing capability to support their Satellite program. IntelliDesign’s goal by 2030 is to design and manufacture a piece of equipment that will be part of a future moon mission, and our work with Gilmour Space is paving the way towards this.

IntelliDesign has now officially received our membership to Defence Industry Security Program (DISP).
This membership ensures we have the appropriate security measures in place to support Defence tenders and contracts, while also helping us manage and understand security risks. DISP membership provides added assurance to Defence and other government agencies when partnering with certified companies.
This is a significant milestone for the IntelliDesign team, enabling us to continue (and expand) our design and manufacturing work with existing and future Defence clients.

Our recent ISO13485 certification reinforces our commitment to medical device development and manufacture. IntelliDesign started as a medical device development company 30 years ago and has been manufacturing high precision medical devices for over 20 years. In memory of our cofounder Dr Andrew Ward, we’re proud to launch the Andrew Ward Education and Research Fund (AWERF). Andrew was a brilliant engineer, a Harvard scholar, and an inspiring mentor to many at IntelliDesign. His legacy of curiosity, generosity, and innovation lives on through this fund, which is dedicated to supporting the next generation of engineers and researchers.

The AWERF will provide scholarships to current or future IntelliDesign staff, associates, or partners—covering education costs, research project expenses, tools, and training materials. It’s designed to empower those with potential who may not otherwise have the means to grow. We invite you to join us in continuing Andrew’s legacy by supporting this initiative and helping others achieve what Andrew so passionately believed in, becoming the best they can be.

Employee Spotlight: The BD Team
Meet our Business Development team Frank Harrington, Glenn Bevan, and Mario Simeone, the driving force behind building strong partnerships and creating new opportunities.

Frank started his career with a technical role in the RAAF, and worked for several years in the middle east on a defence contract. On returning to Australia he moved into Business Development in the electronics distribution world. Drawing on his background in defence contracting, Frank has spent the last nine years at IntelliDesign spearheading business development, with a specialised focus on the defence industry.

Glenn began his career in medical imaging technology before transitioning into industrial design to pursue his passion for designing medical equipment. With over 30 years of experience in product development, primarily in consultancy. Dedicating most of his career to advancing technology development, Glenn has been apart of the IntelliDesign Business Development team for over a year. He brings deep expertise in design and engineering projects, helping clients turn complex ideas into innovative solutions.

Mario is IntelliDesign’s first Melbourne-based team member, bringing a strong foundation in Industrial Design and decades of experience in Victoria’s design and manufacturing sector. He began his career as an industrial designer and advanced to R&D Manager roles across several leading companies. Over the past 15 years, Mario has transitioned into business development management, combining his technical expertise with a strategic focus on design-driven innovation.

Our CEO Matt Bromwich began his career as an electrical engineer at IntelliDesign, quickly rising through the ranks to become a Project Manager and then Operations Manager. Seeking global experience, he moved to the UK to join Dyson, where he honed his skills leading complex projects. Upon returning to Australia, Matt took the helm at IntelliDesign, and over the past eight years, has led its transformation from a successful family-run business into a professionally managed organisation. Under his leadership, IntelliDesign now operates with a seasoned executive team and is guided by an experienced board.
