We are currently taking applications for a motivated apprentice to join our busy Manufacturing team based in Crestmead.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic and keen to get a hands-on start to their trade career. You will receive both on and off the job training and receive mentoring from other trade qualified experts who also enjoy being ‘on the tools’ in a busy workshop environment.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful applicant will possess:

SANDBLASTER - IMMEDIATE START

M & P Engineering is a family-owned Australian business specialising in Steel Fabrication, Sand Blasting and Powder Coating.

About the role:
This is an exciting role within the business. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this role is responsible for Abrasive Blasting, Metal Spraying, assisting hanging of products, as well as packing of finished products ready for transport.

M & P Engineering is looking for a hands on person who has a natural drive to get jobs completed and work as part of the team.

QUALIFIED BOILERMAKER

M & P Engineering is a small family owned and operated jobbing shop in Crestmead. We are seeking a Trade Qualifed Boilermaker to work within this growing business. The role offers the following:

- Immediate start
- A friendly, team oriented work environment
- Above award wages (depending on experience
- 4 day/10hpw working week


Duties include, but are not limited to:

-Stainless Steel fabrication work
- Mild steel MIG fabrication
- Workshop and site work
- Ability to interpret drawings
- Other duties as required


To be successful for this position, you must hold:

- Trade Certificate
- Current drivers licence
- Ability to pass initial and continuous - QA and client testing
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to self motivate and be able to think outside the box
- Other Information

- Forklift licence would be advantageous but not essential
- Immediate start
- Competitive hourly rate with possible overtime
- Short listed applicants will be contacted and required to undertake a weld test on day of interview
