This 2.5L 4D56 MN Triton came into the workshop with a split factory intercooler hose. Over time, the original rubber hoses are exposed to constant heat cycles, oil vapour from the crankcase ventilation system, boost pressure and engine movement. The result? The rubber softens, weakens and eventually splits under load.
A failed intercooler hose can cause:
❌ Loss of boost pressure
❌ Reduced power and performance
❌ Excessive black smoke
❌ Increased fuel consumption
❌ Limp mode faults
❌ Potential roadside breakdowns
Rather than replacing it with another factory-style rubber hose, we upgraded this Triton to a silicone intercooler hose kit.

This 2009 Mitsubishi Triton came in suffering from a heavily carboned-up intake manifold. Years of soot and oil vapour build-up had severely restricted airflow, reducing performance and efficiency.
