Introducing the Durra Panel Wellness Wall.

A wall system designed to support healthier indoor environments.

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are released by everyday materials including paints, flooring, furniture and finishes, where they can accumulate indoors over time.

While many building materials simply aim to minimise their own VOC emissions, the Wellness Wall goes a step further by actively adsorbing airborne volatile organic compounds (VOCs) already present within a space.

Independent testing demonstrated significant reductions in airborne VOC concentrations, helping improve indoor air quality in the places where people spend most of their time.

From workplaces and schools to wellness spaces and commercial interiors, the Wellness Wall offers a new way to make indoor air quality part of the building itself.

Princeton’s All Straw House is a full-scale prototype exploring how straw can be used as a precise, contemporary building system.

Developed by LTL Architects and Guy Nordenson and Associates, in collaboration with Princeton University students, the project uses Durra Panel as its primary building material.

The Durra Panel compressed straw panels are stacked to form the walls, combining structure, insulation and interior finish in a single material. The prototype was prefabricated at Princeton’s Architecture Lab before being transported to site and enclosed with a prefabricated thatch rainscreen.

Kew High School Gymnasium | Durra Panel Acoustic Wall System

At Kew High School, 900m² of Durra Panel acoustic wall lining was installed across a double-court gymnasium, transforming the space with improved acoustic performance, enhanced thermal comfort and a durable finish built for everyday use.

Using a combination of S50 Durra Panel Acoustic Pattern and Durra Panel Plywood with powder coated aluminium sections, the project delivered a fast, low-maintenance solution without relying on multiple wet trades—helping the school meet a tight installation window while creating a modern, high-performing environment for students and the local basketball community.

🌱 End of life shouldn't mean end of value.

At Woodleigh School's Futures Studio, Durra Panel off-cuts were mulched and returned to the school's gardens rather than sent to landfill.

Made from compressed wheat straw and free from toxic binders, Durra Panel can be safely returned to the earth at the end of its useful life, supporting a more circular approach to construction.

One small example of how material choices can have an impact beyond the building itself.
