Choosing the right floor isn’t about trends — it’s about lifestyle.
1. How much traffic does this space get?
High traffic → go durable (hybrid, tile).
Low traffic → more flexibility (engineered timber, laminate).
2. Is water a factor?
Kitchen, laundry, entry?
Waterproof or water-resistant materials matter.
3. Do you have pets or kids?
Look for scratch resistance and matte finishes.
4. What’s your long-term plan?
Selling soon? Choose timeless mid-tones.
Staying long-term? Choose what feels right for you.

The best flooring isn’t the most expensive —
it’s the one that suits how you actually live.

Choosing flooring colour isn’t just about taste — it changes how your whole home feels.
Light Tones
– Make rooms feel bigger
– Reflect more natural light
– Great for apartments & open-plan homes
Mid Tones
– Most forgiving (dust + scratches less visible)
– Easy to pair with most cabinetry colours
– Perfect balance of warm and practical
Dark Tones
– Add depth and drama
– Feel sophisticated and modern
– Best in well-lit, larger spaces
Quick Tip:
Always check samples in natural daylight before deciding.

Before you fall for the colour, do this quick check in-store:
Stand on it. Walk on it. Look at it from an angle.
If it feels loud, shows every fingerprint, or looks different under light — it’ll be worse at home. Save yourself the regret and test it properly before you commit.

Floorboard direction matters more than you think:
Lay boards parallel to the longest wall → visually stretches the room

Lay toward natural light → enhances flow and brightness

Avoid switching directions room-to-room → breaks continuity

Bonus:
In hallways, run boards along the corridor, not across.

Vinyl? Hybrid? Tile? Here’s what to know:
Tiles = 100% waterproof, great for wet zones

Hybrid flooring = waterproof core, ideal for kitchens

Vinyl = water-resistant, softer underfoot

Laminate = not ideal for water exposure (unless sealed edges)

Tip:
Waterproof ≠ floodproof. Mop spills quickly. Always check manufacturer specs.

If your floors feel hard, loud, or cold, the problem is often what’s underneath — not the flooring itself.
Tell us your room + floor type and we’ll recommend the right underlay.

Want your space to feel open? Stick to light-to-mid tones, long boards, and consistent materials.
