Be honest… how many times have you checked the clock today hoping it’s somehow Friday already?

We’ve all been there. The coffee’s doing its best, the to-do list isn’t getting any shorter, and the 4WD sitting at home is probably wondering why it hasn’t been taken anywhere lately.

Halfway through the week is a good enough excuse to start dreaming about the next trip, if you ask us!

So here’s a very important question for the Emu Crew…

🌊🚙⛺FUN FACT FRIYAY!! 🌊🚙🏕️

Did you know Australia has more than 10,000 beaches?
That’s enough to visit a different beach every day for over 27 years without visiting the same one twice!
And yet, somehow, every beach trip still ends up at the one with the packed car park, the freezing water and sand in absolutely everything.

But there’s something about loading up the 4WD, leaving the week behind and pointing the bonnet towards the coast that just hits different.
The bitumen ends, the sand tracks begin, and suddenly the only thing on the agenda is finding that next beach spot to setup camp. 🤙

Picture it… rolling along the coastline, finding a quiet stretch of beach, setting up camp with the ocean right on your doorstep and watching the sun drop below the horizon. A fire going where permitted, a cold drink in hand, a sky full of stars and absolutely nowhere else you need to be. Waking up with the sound of the waves, throw the fishing gear together, explore another stretch of coast and find a spot you’ve never been to before. That’s the sort of weekend that makes the Monday alarm feel a bloody long way away! 😂

Of course, getting out there means bringing half the house with you. Recovery gear, swags, fishing rods, eskies, camp chairs and enough gear to survive a small expedition. Good thing having easier access to your gear can make setting up and packing down that little bit easier. That’s where Emuwing has you covered. 🚙🚙🚙Happy hump day 🚙🚙🚙

We are midweek, and while some are looking forward to the incoming weekend, some of us are looking backwards at the weekend that’s passed. For us, we’re looking a little further back than that — 19 years back, to be precise.

In 2007, while Steve Jobs was releasing the first iPhone, Google was introducing us all to Street View, and the first hashtag was being used on social media, we were in a little home garage in Watsonia, north of Melbourne, where the foundations of Emuwing started with an old Ford Maverick, a few beers and an idea.

Frustrated with digging through a packed 4WD just to reach our gear, we set out to build a better solution. What began as a rough prototype in a suburban Melbourne garage grew through years of testing, refining and overcoming the challenges of developing a product that was built to last and properly fit each vehicle.

From a garage project to a growing business, Emuwing has continued to evolve through practical engineering, product development and a commitment to doing things properly. Our range has now expanded to cover more than 35 vehicle models, including LandCruiser, Patrol and Jeep platforms.

Today, we’re an Australian family-owned and operated business based in Ballarat, Victoria, supplying our customers across Australia and exporting worldwide. What started as a solution to our own frustration is now helping thousands of you, as 4WD owners, access your gear more easily.

As we continue to expand our vehicle coverage, refine existing designs and develop new products, our focus remains unchanged: building quality, Australian-made products that solve real problems and stand up to real-world use.

From a rough prototype in a suburban garage to an international customer base, we’re still driven by the same idea that started it all: make access easier, make traveling better.

Well... we survived. 😂

The backlog is officially under control, the boxes are no longer reproducing faster than we can pack them, and the Emus have finally stopped staring blankly at the packing bench.

We're back on track and aiming to have your orders heading out the door within a few days of receiving them.

Now we're just cleaning up the aftermath...

Apparently someone told the team that packing orders was the hard part.

They've just discovered the warehouse. 😂
