Longden Steel is a locally owned reinforcement steel contractor serving the Zimbabwe construction industry in the supply and on site fixing of reinforcement steel .The company was established in 2003 as a 100% indigenous owned business and started from scratch with no assets or expertise but only driven by a passion to become the leading player in the industry. From those modest origins the busi

ness started operating from the Ruwa home of its founder, then moved to the Gazaland Home Industry in 2004 before renting a workshop in Willowvale.The Company bought its first machines that same year. In 2006 an industrial stand was acquired in the same Willowvale area from where a modern workshop was built. Today Longden Steel boasts of the most modern steel cutting and bending machinery and supplies the largest volume of reinforcement steel to the construction industry. Longden also supplies mining solutions in the form of roofing support such as Shepherd Crooks and threaded bolts. Currently, most local mines buy from us because of our product dependability, short lead times and very strong pricing compared to our competitors. The Company has also ventured into fabrication of structures at very competitive pricing. Holding down bolts are also being produced to suit customer specifications and requirements. Our products are designed in-house and Longden maintains a very strong research and development focus aimed at improving safety and reducing total cost of ownership. Strong relationships lie at the heart of Longden’s interactions with its Clients.
