DAY1 - Tomcat Chippers Africa cleaning up the aftermath of the storm in Van Riebeeck Park with Breedevallei Munisipaliteit - Breede Valley Municipality. A MASSIVE amount of green waste accumulated in just a couple of days after the devastation left by the storm. We realised that this was something no-one could expect the municipality to tackle on their own.
We decided to sponsor 2 TOMCAT woodchipper machines each with an experienced operator and the municipality offered to send employees to feed the machines.
A big thank you to all the volunteers and ward councillors that joined in! Also a big shout out to the BVM and all the municipal workers that worked non-stop fixing electrical issues, burst pipes, road damage and more.
