across South Africa in metropolitan and regional areas. They
are available to take orders, assist with general enquiries,
provide staff training and assist with store set-ups as well as
advise on planograms and use of Point-of-Sale materials. Supporting them is a merchandising development team to

Safe Top Distribution Centre Namibia (Pty) Ltd is looking for an experienced and motivated External Sales Representative to join our team in Windhoek, Namibia.
We're looking for a methodical, goal-driven and self-motivated individual with a minimum of 5 years sales experience within the hardware/FMCG sector as a Sales Representative.

Minimum Requirements:
▪️Matric; a certificate in Sales and Marketing would be advantageous
▪️Gathering and analysis of sales and market data on an ongoing basis.
▪️Eager to expand the Safe Top brand with new sales, clients, and territories
▪️Proven results in meeting client base sales targets.
▪️Ability to multitask and be persistent.
▪️Must be a methodical thinker and goal-driven.
▪️Valid driver’s license is essential.
▪️Willingness to travel cross-border for business purposes
▪️Must be willing to travel to outlying areas
▪️Proficient with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
▪️Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
▪️Customer-focused with attention to detail, focusing on sales goals and strategic company plans.
▪️Goal-oriented, organised, with excellent negotiation skills
▪️Have excellent interpersonal and networking skills
▪️Work well under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly competitive business environment.

▪️Knowledge of Skynamo CRM system (advantageous).
▪️A proven track record in applying technical, human resources and conceptual skills.

Key Responsibilities include:
▪️Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets and drives as directed by management
▪️Visit top 20 customers twice a month and create a customer strategy for the quarter
▪️Recommend product lines by identifying new product opportunities to customers.
▪️Assess viability of Client base for the Region
▪️Ensure that the entire customer base is visited once a month
▪️Identify new retail hardware stores and engage
▪️Ensure that stores are merchandised as per Safe Top’s standards
▪️Conduct 2 demo days per month in stores
▪️Ensure that all customers have a stand and service level agreement in place
▪️Manage and ensure ex*****on of in-store installations as per Safe Top standards
▪️Ensure that the Merchandiser maintains stands
▪️Submit weekly call planner to the Regional Manager
▪️Generate monthly sales reports
▪️Complete customer contracts
▪️Complete proposals and quotations for customers
▪️Assist with completion of Credit Applications and submit to Head Office
▪️Travelling to outlying areas
▪️Establish and maintain sound and professional relationships with clients
▪️Build and maintain relationships with retail hardware outlets in the region.
▪️Support, Mentor and Coach the Merchandiser on an ongoing basis

To close Women’s Month, we recognised Danielle Marais, our Sales Administrator at the Cape Town branch, for her hard work. After joining us eight years ago from a furniture background, Danielle adapted to our products and can now identify most stock codes, though she’s still working through some technical details.

Danielle began in a production role, working mostly alone, before moving into sales administration, where her outgoing personality shone as she interacted with many colleagues. Her biggest challenge has been, as she puts it, “smiling and waving even on the worst days.”

When asked about her biggest achievement, she openly admitted it was the day she became a mom to her wonderful and only daughter. So, Danielle, this larger-than-life presence in the SafeTop Retail Office is a very proud mom of one.

Her biggest inspiration is herself, especially her younger self. Danielle has worked hard to overcome her past and grow, saying, “I still want to do better. If I had current me when I was younger, I would have made better decisions.”

When asked about her motivation, Danielle first mentions her daughter, then adds that being kind costs nothing. The world is already horrible and tough as it is. Imagine if everyone could "JUST BE LEKKER"; then the world would be a better place for all.
