Advantage Conveyors was started by father and son, Allan and John van Wyk, as part of their long-term career objectives. Allan at the time had been in charge of the project planning, development, and management of a well-known conveyor system manufacturer for over 20 years, and John, on the other hand, had over 10 years of experience in the manufacturing and site management division. This father and son duo proved to be highly successful, and not long after, two more family members joined them in the office. Mom Marcha, took it upon herself to oversee the administration and accounting side of the business, while brother Justin, took over the lead generation and sales aspects. The company has continued to grow from strength to strength and has added a few more junior employees to its payroll. Allan was the family’s mentor, but unfortunately as a result of Covid, he has gained his wings. In his honour, the family continues to deliver a service based on what they have been taught.
