Talisman Hire Strand & Helderberg is launching South Africa’s first Cherry Picker Machine on 12 June at 12h00 — and this year, the launch is doubling as a fundraiser for Youth4Life NPC.

Over the next 3 weeks, we’re calling on the whole Helderberg community — businesses, individuals, entrepreneurs — to help us raise R200,000 so Youth4Life can continue their incredible work in schools, ECD centres and communities across the Western Cape. (A18 certificates available for donations.)

The final 24 hours before the event will feature the Cherry Picker Basket Challenge, where owners Koos and Rickard will each spend 12 hours in the cherry picker raising funds live on site.

Everyone is invited to the launch event on 12 June, 12h00–15h00. Come support, cheer, donate, and help us make a real impact together.

Talisman Hire Strand & Helderberg (inside Builders) is doing things differently! To mark the launch of our brand-new Cherry Picker—the first of its kind in South Africa—we aren’t just hosting a normal event. We are using our new machinery to reach new heights for our community.
We are proud to partner with Youth4Life NPC and have set an ambitious goal: to raise R200,000 over the next three weeks to support the life-changing work they do for our youth and families.

The Cherry Picker Basket Challenge 🧺 The excitement culminates in a 24-hour marathon right before our official launch. From 12:00 on 11 June to 12:00 on 12 June, our owners, Rickard and Koos, will be taking their mission to the air. They will each spend 12 hours straight in the Cherry Picker basket, aiming to raise R5,000 – R10,000 every single hour!
