A total of three prestigious individual awards were made at Forum 2026:

• AFMA Person of the Year: Dr Erhard Briedenhann
• AFMA Technical Person of the Year: Dr Kyle Venter
• AFMA Student of the Year 2026: Soné Nell (SU)

The top ten longstanding AFMA Matrix advertisers were also announced – with Evonik Africa taking the top spot. The article of the year was written by Dr Lisa Ann Rothmann (UFS).

Cherise Basson (SU) was awarded the Intervarsity Writer’s Cup for 2025, followed by Jamie Fourie (SU) who won this award for 2026.
