Initially, we encountered multiple failed write attempts, requiring the removal of the ECU for bench-mode programming. However, the effort was well worth it—this bakkie now boasts an impressive power increase from 140 kW to 174 kW and torque gains from 450 Nm to 550 Nm.

To ensure long-term reliability in hot African conditions, we loaded a mild tune that optimise performance while maintaining durability. The result? A smoother ride, improved fuel efficiency, and a truly transformed driving experience.

This Toyota Hilux 4.0L V6 recently underwent a pre-check and diagnostic scan to assess its eligibility for a Stage 1 Tune. Occasionally, vehicle software isn't immediately available, so we work with our tool partners to source it. For this specific vehicle, we reached out to Alientech to secure the necessary software. Once obtained, our calibration specialists will remap this powerhouse for improved performance, increased torque, and better fuel consumption. The software is currently pending, but as soon as we receive it, the calibration can take place. 🚗💨
