It's a quest to brew something perfectly and flawlessly the passion in achieving that perfect cup has never stopped. Four years ago I decided, as a hobby to start roasting my own coffee. s that I can. I try and use beans that have been organically grown and that are certified as sustainable harvest beans. At the moment I have beans from the growing regions of Ethiopia (the birth place of coffee), Tanzania, Indonesia, Columbia and Nicaragua. When I find a coffee that I love, I take the time to develop the roast profile to bring out the best flavour characteristics. I prefer not to blend the coffee beans - as one looses the subtle flavours of the single origins and growing regions. I roast the coffee in smaller batches of about 3,5kg - by doing this I have more control over achieving a great roast and bringing out the best in each batch of beans, and providing fresh beans on order.
