Here’s a glimpse into one of our recent projects on a wildlife estate—a sophisticated solution that merges functionality with natural beauty.

Faced with the challenge of a 6-meter excavation, we provided a comprehensive service that included surveying, planning, design, and construction. The result? A stepped retaining wall built with architectural gabions made from galvanized rectangular welded mesh, offering durability and structural integrity.

But this project goes beyond engineering. By integrating flower and tree boxes into the wall’s design, we transformed a functional structure into a living, breathing landscape feature. These green spaces soften the appearance of the wall and create a seamless connection with the surrounding wildlife environment.

The final result is more than a retaining wall—it's an architectural statement that complements and enhances the natural beauty of the estate. Proof that with thoughtful design, engineering and nature can exist in perfect harmony.

The gabion project, initiated on 28 October 2024 and completed on 14 November 2024, involved constructing a mass gravity gabion structure utilizing 300m³ of rock. The primary purpose of this structure was to stabilize an embankment adjacent to a luxury accommodation development located in a region celebrated for its rich natural diversity and proximity to big game, just outside Kruger National Park. The project enhances the safety and integrity of the site while blending seamlessly into the surrounding environment, supporting sustainable development in this ecologically significant area.
