Systeco

Systeco Systeco Group is a dynamic collective of specialized companies offering world-class solutions in fabrication, automation, equipment supply, and 3D scanning.

We serve clients globally, especially in the agricultural and macadamia processing sectors. Systeco is a company that specializes in PLC programming and SCADA Design. We build panels, program them, then install and commission them. We mostly work in the Macadamia industry but not exclusively. We are also involved in Plywood manufacturing, prototyping machinery, sugar processing factories and home automation.

Most people know us for our work in the macadamia industry. But the truth is, we don't limit ourselves to just one crop.

From streamlining citrus lines to automating plywood manufacturing and optimizing sugar production if it requires heavy duty engineering, fabrication, or precision automation, our team can build it.

We don't just build machinery; we engineer solutions that keep South African industries moving forward.

Systeco started by solving problems in macadamia processing. Then clients in other industries started calling.

We've automated citrus fruit packing lines. We helped pioneer one of the world's first fully automated litchi sulphuring systems. We've worked in plywood manufacturing, sugar processing, and prototyping custom machinery for applications that didn't have a solution yet.

The same engineering principles apply everywhere: design it right, build it in-house, integrate it properly, and take responsibility for the result.

If you have a challenge that needs engineering β€” let's talk.

Ever wonder how massive macadamia processing facilities come together? It all starts right here in the design office.

Peter and our expert engineering team use advanced CAD software to design custom factory layouts from the ground up. From managing high-precision machinery configurations to solving complex flow challenges on the line, we map out every single detail digitally before a single piece of steel is cut.
We don't just build machinery we engineer efficiency.

When Systeco designs a piece of macadamia processing equipment, the team that designed it is the same team that builds it in our own facility, in Nelspruit.

That means design intent doesn't get lost in translation. When a dimension matters, the person cutting the steel knows why. When a weld needs to be perfect, the person doing it has seen the drawing.

In-house fabrication isn't just more efficient. It's a different standard of quality.

What started in Nelspruit is now building macadamia processing facilities across South Africa and internationally β€” including some of the largest and most advanced plants in Australia.

Global reach. Local team. The same standard on every project, regardless of location.

If you're planning a new macadamia facility β€” or upgrading an existing one β€” this is the team that's already done it at scale.

A SCADA system is not just a dashboard on a screen.

It's the difference between finding out about a problem at 2am when it starts and finding out at 7am when the damage is already done.

In a macadamia curing room, a fan failure, a heating supply fault, or a temperature drift that goes undetected for hours can cost a farmer millions. A well-built SCADA system sees all of it in real time and raises an alarm before product is at risk.

Systeco designs and installs SCADA monitoring for macadamia processing plants and a range of industrial operations across South Africa built around how your plant actually runs.

People often ask what Systeco does and the honest answer is: everything your macadamia processing operation needs, under one roof.

Project management. Machine fabrication. Automation and electrical. Engineering design and 3D scanning. It's not multiple companies. It's one team with a wide set of capabilities, all working from the same building, on the same projects, with the same goals.

The biggest risk in any processing plant project isn't the equipment. It's the gap between contractors.

When your mechanical team, electrical team, and automation team are three different companies delays, blame-shifting, and commissioning problems follow. Every time.

At Systeco, engineering design, fabrication, electrical, and automation are all handled by the same team. One point of responsibility. From the first layout sketch to the day the plant runs.

If something doesn't perform, we fix it. No finger-pointing. No excuses.

There is a tendency in engineering, especially during the design phase, to keep adding.

'What if this happens?' Another sensor. Another fallback system. Another layer of automation logic.

The result is often a system far more complicated than the operation actually needs. And more complexity almost always means more failure points.

After years of designing and commissioning macadamia processing plants, one of the biggest things we have learned is this: the plants that run best are the ones that were designed with restraint.

Simple product flow. Straightforward automation. Interfaces operators can actually use without a manual.

That takes more experience to design, not less.
