Lucchini South Africa Pty (Ltd), a subsidiary of the Italian based Lucchini RS Group S.p.A - is Africa's leading manufacturer of forged railway wheels, axles and wheelsets for locomotives, freight wagons and passenger coaches. With over 200 000 wheels supplied to date, we really do have a proven track record in serving the Sub-Saharan and Africa Railway market, via our 10 000 square metre facility located in Germiston, South Africa. Lucchini RS, is the first international forged wheel manufacturer to localise production in South Africa and is B-BBEE Level 2 certified. We specialise in the design, manufacture and supply of forged railway wheels, axles and wheelsets for locomotives, freight wagons and passenger coaches, covering all types of rolling stock from high-speed trains through heavy haul to light rail. Our strength lies in our integrated production facilities which allow us to manufacture wheels from start to finish through our proven know-how and customer focussed approach.

Lucchini South Africa is recruiting 10 learners for its 2027 Production Technology Learnership Programme.

The 12-month programme involves supporting production operations, equipment setup, quality checks and safe working practices.

Applicants must:
• Be students or unemployed individuals aged 18–24.
• Have a Matric/Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics and Science.
• Be medically fit, fluent in English and able to work in a team.
• Be available from 6 January 2027.
