What surface finishes are available for a residential car turntable?

A residential car turntable can be finished in almost any surface used elsewhere on your property - which is what allows it to integrate seamlessly into the driveway, or to stand out as a deliberate design feature, depending on your intent. The ATTPS deck is supplied as a structural platform designed to accept the finish of your choice, applied by your flooring contractor as part of the surrounding installation.

Available car turntable finishes include polished concrete, stencil concrete, exposed aggregate, sandstone pavers, ceramic floor tiles, cobblestone, timber, asphalt, galvanised checkerplate, aluminium checkerplate, and bound resin. Custom finishes are discussed on a project basis. Can a car turntable be installed in an existing driveway or garage?

Yes, and the process is more straightforward than most property owners expect. ATTPS offers two installation options for existing sites: an in-ground car turntable, which requires excavation and civil works, with the mechanical installation typically completed within three to four days from the start of installation; or a surface-mounted car turntable, which installs directly onto an existing slab with no excavation required, in as little as one day.

The right option depends on your site, your budget, and whether the surrounding surface can be opened up for civil work. ATTPS conducts a free site assessment, advises on the best route, and manages the full mechanical installation and electrical connection. Civil works (where required) are carried out by your building contractor in advance, and the surface finish is completed afterwards by your flooring contractor - unless a steel deck top is specified, which we supply finished.

Retrofitting a car turntable into an existing property is a well-trodden path. We've done it on completed homes, working garages, and live commercial sites without disrupting day-to-day use any longer than necessary.
