On-site radiography at Total Alrode Depot.

QIES continues to support clients with specialised inspection capability in the field, combining the right equipment, qualified personnel and disciplined ex*****on.

Radiographic testing remains an important tool for verifying weld and component integrity in industrial environments where reliable inspection matters.

The best time to find a problem is before the next stage begins.

Inspection hold points allow important requirements to be checked before fabrication progresses.

Depending on the project, these checks may take place around material verification, fit-up, welding, NDT, dimensions or coating. The objective is not simply to find problems. It is to verify that critical work has been completed correctly before the next stage begins.

Good inspection supports better quality control, reduces avoidable rework and strengthens confidence throughout the fabrication process.

Some inspections require seeing what can't be seen from the outside.

Borescope inspection allows our team to examine the internal condition of pipelines and other difficult-to-access areas without unnecessary disruption, providing accurate information to support maintenance and asset integrity decisions.

At QIES, every inspection is carried out with the same commitment to technical excellence, verification and quality.

A qualified welder is only one part of a controlled welding process.

WPS, PQR and WPQ each serve a different purpose:

- WPS defines how the weld must be produced.
- PQR demonstrates that the procedure can produce an acceptable weld.
- WPQ confirms that the welder is qualified to perform the required process.

These controls work together to support welding consistency, compliance and technical accountability. They are connected, but they are not interchangeable.

Welding quality depends on qualified procedures, competent personnel and disciplined ex*****on.

One thickness reading gives you a number. A corrosion map gives you a pattern.

Corrosion does not always develop evenly, which means a single wall thickness reading may not show the full condition of an asset. Corrosion mapping uses structured ultrasonic measurements across a defined area to help identify localised thinning, reveal wall-loss patterns and highlight areas that may need closer attention.

This gives asset owners better information to support maintenance planning and informed asset integrity decisions.

A finding only adds value when it is documented properly.

Inspection is not complete without clear, traceable reporting.

Good documentation supports compliance, accountability and better decision-making long after the inspection is done.

At QIES, reporting is part of the standard, not an afterthought.

When the stakes are high, accreditation matters.

Inspection is about more than completing a check. It depends on disciplined procedures, competent personnel and reporting that supports confidence in the result.

At QIES, inspection integrity is built through consistency, technical discipline and credible processes that support compliance and asset reliability.

Inspection is not routine when asset integrity is on the line.

On-site inspection plays a critical role in understanding asset condition, supporting compliance, and helping prevent larger operational risks.

At QIES, every inspection is approached with discipline, care, and a focus on long-term asset integrity.
