Anyway - quick update before we disappear again.

Over the past year, we delivered multiple BP refurbishment projects across South Africa.

And if you know anything about multi-site rollouts, you’ll know:
everything is urgent.
everything is happening at once.
and everything was needed… yesterday.

Different sites. Different teams. Same expectation - deliver, and don’t miss.

It was challenging, a bit chaotic at times, but also the kind of work that reminds you why you enjoy this industry in the first place.

It’s done. And it shows. 🔥

Fitzsimons Square, Vanderbijlpark - Upgrade

This redevelopment is more than an upgrade… it’s a complete shift in how the centre looks, feels, and functions.

What was delivered:
🛒 A retail anchor (Checkers) at the heart of the centre
✨ A bold new façade giving the centre a fresh, modern identity
🚻 Upgraded public ablutions - contemporary, and user-focused
🪟 New shopfronts and additional line shops, unlocking new tenant opportunities
🌿 Revamped external works - from resurfaced areas to upgraded, modern landscaping

WBC Lansdowne, Cape Town

We are proud to have contributed to the successful completion of the new facility at WBC Lansdowne for our client WBC Properties.

With a 27,000m² footprint and 1,369 parking bays, this impressive facility is now the second largest WBC development, following WBC The Dome.

Every major development starts with the groundwork; and this one began at scale:
▪️ 51,000m² cleared of vegetation, trees, and grass roots
▪️ 10,000m³ of material excavated
▪️ 30,000m³ of imported fill to form the platform
▪️ 3,500m³ of specialist concrete floors poured
▪️ 360 tonnes of structural steel erected, and
▪️ 29,337m² of roof sheeting installed

Of course, building in Cape Town means learning to work with the weather. Winter rains brought their fair share of muddy site conditions and programme challenges - but the team quite literally put their best foot forward in the mud to keep progress moving.

A great collaboration across the professional team, contractors, and our client made this milestone possible.

While this phase of the works has now been completed, the development journey continues. Future works are anticipated, including a new prep centre, which includes wash bays, tyre centre, and expanded parking areas as the facility grows to support operational demand.

Park Meadows Shopping Centre Upgrade

We are pleased to have been part of the recent aesthetic upgrade at Park Meadows Shopping Centre, completed in November 2025.

The project, for our client Redefine Properties, focused on enhancing the overall customer experience and modernising key elements of the centre.

Scope highlights included:
• Aesthetic façade upgrades to selected areas of the centre
• Construction of a new Entrance 4, improving accessibility and customer flow
• Construction of a new anchor store (Woolworths), strengthening the retail offering at the centre

Projects like these demonstrate how thoughtful upgrades can refresh established retail environments while maintaining uninterrupted trading.

A great collaboration by the full professional team in bringing these upgrades to life.

From demolition to delivery - another milestone unlocked.

We’re proud to have contributed to the Famous Brands - Project Eskimo Refrigerated Warehouse & Offices in Midrand.

The project transformed a 10,297m² site through the demolition of four multi-storey office blocks and the delivery of a modern refrigerated warehouse with supporting offices - purpose-built to meet demanding operational requirements, with a refrigerated facility volume of approximately 57,000m³.

Like any ambitious build, there were memorable moments… including a municipal pipe that decided to burst during the builders’ break - promptly “commissioning” the facility as a swimming pool right after the specialist floor went in. Not in the spec. Not in the programme. Definitely in the memories. 😅

But through strong collaboration, clear communication, and a solutions-driven approach, the team worked through every challenge to successfully deliver the facility.

A big thank you to Famous Brands and the entire professional team for the partnership and trust.

Redevelopment Complete | Bedworth Centre, Vereeniging**

We’re proud to have contributed to the successful redevelopment of Bedworth Centre - a revitalised retail environment spanning approximately 16,871m² and accommodating 60 shops.

This upgrade focused on enhancing both functionality and customer experience, including:
✔ Complete upgrade of pedestrian walkways
✔ Modernised ablution facilities
✔ Enhanced retail spaces for anchor tenants such as Shoprite, Boxer, various national tenants, and many more

While the project presented several challenges, strong collaboration and a solutions-driven approach enabled the professional team and the contractors to successfully deliver a refreshed centre that better serves both tenants and the surrounding community.

A special acknowledgment to Vukile Property Fund for their strategic asset management and continued commitment to creating sustainable, high-performing retail assets across South Africa.

We officially wrapped up 2025 with a bit of friendly competition on the lawn 🎳

As a team, we took some time to step away from drawings, measurements, and deadlines to enjoy a year-end bowls session. We proved here that even off the clock, we can’t resist accurately measuring distances… this time using our feet instead of a tape measure. 👣

True to form, what started as a casual game quickly revealed just how competitive we all are; turns out “friendly competition” is still very much competition. 😁

It was a simple reminder that strong projects are built by strong teams, and sometimes the best way to reset is to slow down, laugh a little, and enjoy each other’s company.

We are back at work and ready for everything 2026 has in store 💪

Despite Cape Town’s unpredictable weather 🌧️➡️☀️, our team’s resilience and collaboration have kept this project on track. We’re proud of the results — a space that combines functionality with modern office design.
