The photos here show a badly worn shock absorber that has lost most of its hydrolic fluid and a new shock absorber. The function of a shock absorber is to keep your wheel on the ground and prevent it from bouncing up and down, causing the vehicle to be unstable on the road. A shock absorber is a hydrolic ram. What is that whining noise that comes from your car when you are driving or even just free wheeling? It never was there before . Is it a Tyre noise or a Wheel Bearing noise?
