There are projects that do more than change a skyline. They become part of the infrastructure that shapes how a city grows, connects and moves into the future.
The successful lifting and placement of the concrete beams for the new Duinefontein Bridge represents a major step forward in bringing this significant piece of infrastructure to life, strengthening future connectivity and contributing to the economic growth it is being built to support. Across three days, our team carried out tandem lifts of 24 concrete beams, with the lightest beam weighing 45 tonnes and the heaviest extending to 65 tonnes, carefully positioning each one into place and completing a major structural stage of the new bridge.
A defining stage of a project of this magnitude is never built on lifting capacity alone. It takes extensive planning, precise coordination and a team with the experience to manage every detail behind an operation of this complexity and bring it together with absolute precision. This is where our experience has to speak for itself, and being chosen to take on such a critical stage reflects the depth of capability behind our name and the standard we have built over years of delivering excellence.
For Teemane, these are not simply projects we are part of. They are the projects that continue to define our place in the industry and reinforce why our name remains at the forefront of work of this scale and significance. We are immensely proud to have played such an integral role in a milestone that will contribute to the city’s growth and development for years to come.
