Engineering the Art of Motion. ⚙️

At Mechnitech, we specialize in the "how." How do you make a mascot swim? How do you ensure multiple components oscillate at varying speeds reliably for the duration of an exhibition?

We recently designed and manufactured these custom kinetic mechanisms for a Fieldbar activation. By integrating custom-built linkages and motor controls, we transformed a 2D display into a 3D experience.

Not only do they serve as practical workstations for the bakers, but they’re also on full display to customers – adding to the experience of watching craftsmanship in action.

The lightboxes are fully custom-built to fit the existing structures, combining precision fabrication with clean, modern finishes.

🛠️ Built in 2024, this interactive system includes:

Mechnitech proudly designed, built, and installed the steel substructure for a massive 75m² LED display on the M1-facing facade of the Balwin Head Office in Johannesburg.

From concept drawings and preliminary FEA validation to site assessment, lift access work, and final installation, our team delivered a robust, professional-grade solution in collaboration with TGS Concepts, ensuring the structural system met all performance and safety standards.
