More glue = stronger bond?
𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗹𝘆.

It seems logical that adding more adhesive would create a stronger bond, but it doesn’t quite work that way.

Too little adhesive can obviously affect the bond, but too much can also cause problems. Apart from increasing adhesive consumption and waste and cost, it can increase bonding time and affect the 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 of the application.

Good adhesive application is really about finding that sweet spot. Applying exactly what’s needed, where it’s needed, and doing it consistently.

So when it comes to glue, more isn’t always better. Sometimes it’s just more. 😏💚

We think about what holds it together, because there’s actually a whole lot going on in there. 🛏️
Pocket springs, foam, side padding and all those different layers need to be bonded accurately and consistently-whether the adhesive is applied automatically or manually.

When mattresses are being produced at speed, getting that application right is so important. The right amount of adhesive, in the right place, helps reduce unnecessary waste.

That’s where Robatech SA comes in. Getting the adhesive application right on something most of us spend 6–8 hours on every single day. (Although, some of us could do with a few more hrs. 😏)

This Mandela Day, the Robatech South Africa team had the privilege of supporting Rainbow of Hope, a remarkable organisation dedicated to vulnerable children, providing physical, emotional and educational support and care.

Spending time with the Rainbow of Hope team was a powerful reminder that Mandela Day isn't just about one day of giving. It's about supporting the people who quietly make a difference every single day.
