According to Alister, over-oiling is one of the most common maintenance issues encountered on mobile lighting towers.

Many operators believe that adding a little extra oil provides extra protection, but the opposite can be true. Excess oil can increase pressure inside the engine, causing leaks, damaging seals and gaskets, increasing oil consumption, and in severe cases, leading to costly engine repairs and unexpected downtime.

Always check oil levels according to the manufacturer's specifications and fill only to the recommended level.
