During this period, Aeromix supplied some of the largest agitators in Africa, also pioneering the use of Draft Tube circulators in mining, and axial flow gas dispersers for high rate mass transfer. In 2001, the business of Aeromix was sold. In 2006, the Aeromix name was changed to AFROMIX, to cater for the growing African and international markets. The company has extensive experience in Leach and

CIP, Biological Leaching of Gold, Copper and Nickel, Chemical and Paper Production, Water and Waste Treatment, and Pharmaceutical Production. Using in-house programmes for FEA (Finite Element Analysis), 3D drawings and animation, engineering and process design and customer training, AFROMIX has raised mixing technology to a new level. AFROMIX also supplies its comprehensive range of peristaltic pumps for 10mm to 150mm (the largest in the world) together with tubes and hoses for other makes of peristaltic pumps.

📢 🧐 What happens inside a lime dosing tank?

Lime dosing systems are used across a wide range of industrial processes where reliable slurry handling and controlled chemical addition are critical.

Inside the tank, lime forms a high solids slurry that often appears thick, grey, and almost cement-like. This is completely normal for the application.

🔺 However, without proper agitation, lime will quickly:
• settle and harden
• block pumps and pipes
• cause inconsistent dosing

A properly engineered AFX mixing system keeps the slurry in suspension, helping maintain reliable and efficient process performance in demanding operating environments.
