WE ARE HIRING – ELECTRIC FORKLIFT TECHNICIAN
We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Electric Forklift Technician to join our team.
The successful candidate must have solid experience in the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of electric material handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic faults on forklifts
Carry out services, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
Diagnose faults on controllers, traction motors, hydraulic pump motors and electrical systems
Fault-finding on wiring harnesses, contactors, sensors and switches
Work with 24V, 36V, 48V and 80V electric systems
Diagnose battery, charger and charging-related problems
Perform repairs on:
Electric counterbalance forklifts
Reach trucks
Pallet trucks
Stackers
Order pickers
Other electric material handling equipment
Read and understand electrical wiring diagrams
Use diagnostic equipment and manufacturer software where required
Complete job cards and technical reports accurately
Attend customer breakdowns and provide professional technical support
Minimum Requirements
Proven experience as an Electric Forklift Technician
Strong electrical and electronic fault-finding ability
Good understanding of AC and DC electric forklift systems
Experience with forklift controllers and CAN-Bus systems will be advantageous
Experience with brands such as Still, Linde, Toyota, Crown, Jungheinrich, Hyster, Yale, Unicarriers or similar will be advantageous
Knowledge of lead-acid and lithium-ion battery systems
Valid driver's licence
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Good communication and customer service skills
Must be reliable, motivated and technically minded
We Are Looking for Someone Who:
Has a strong electrical background and can diagnose faults instead of simply replacing parts.
