It's a debate that divides engineers, but we think the answer is simpler than people make it.

Watch these sizes:
• M10 → 17mm (DIN) vs 16mm (ISO)
• M12 → 19mm (DIN) vs 18mm (ISO)
• M14 → 22mm (DIN) vs 21mm (ISO)
• M22 → 34mm (DIN) vs 32mm (ISO)

That small difference can affect tools, fitment, and clearances.
