A worn control valve seat can lead to internal leakage, increased maintenance and premature replacement of otherwise serviceable components.

The ARCA Ecotrol® incorporates a double-sided reversible seat. When one seating surface becomes worn, the seat can be reversed so that the second surface can be used, extending its working life before replacement becomes necessary.

The people behind the performance deserve to take a bow.

This photograph was taken at our Secunda facility as another major valve package prepared to leave the complex.

Standing proudly in front are two of the people who helped make it happen: Mackson Sepipi on the left and Thabo Mogoje on the right.

Their pose was completely spontaneous—but if this were a theatre production, this would surely be the moment when the stars stepped forward to take their bow.

Behind every successful delivery are people whose skill, care and commitment bring the equipment together and ensure that it is ready for service. Mackson and Thabo represent the human side of engineering—the workmanship and teamwork that our customers ultimately depend upon.

The impressive “supporting actor” is a 24-inch Zwick triple-offset valve, with a WCB body, fitted with an Actreg actuator and hydraulic override for a hydrocarbon gas application.

Well done, Mackson and Thabo. This photograph captures both the scale of the engineering and the pride of the people behind it.

Alongside it, a brand-new DN400 Stafsjö D2G ready for another demanding application.

Two substantial Stafsjö knife gate valves recently through Valve & Automation — one demonstrating the value of maintaining and refurbishing installed equipment, the other representing a new solution for demanding process duty.

The Stafsjö HX is an extreme high-pressure through-going knife gate valve developed for severe applications involving concentrated and difficult media. Designed for bi-directional pressure up to 20 bar, it combines reliable shut-off with excellent flow characteristics.

The Stafsjö D2G is designed for demanding applications involving contaminated media and rejects.

For us, supplying new valves is only part of the job. Supporting installed equipment throughout its working life is equally important.
