About Dolphin Coast Pre-Primary
The School
We have 5 classes made up of the following:-
Grade 0000 (Green)
Grade 000 (Red)
Grade 00 (Yellow & Turquoise)
Grade R (Blue)
Our professionally trained teachers have all specialized in early Childhood education and they aim to encourage, develop and guide the child intellectually, physically and socially. We offer a safe, secure environment and our
playground is designed with various equipment and play opportunities for the children to enjoy. Each class has a teacher and a full time assistant with a well researched programme. Structured teacher-directed activities promote pre-reading, pre-writing, pre-maths skills. Building up self confidence and problem solving skills are also important areas to develop. The class lessons, which are age appropriate, include music, movement, drama, dance, percussion and stories. Parental Involvement
The progress of each child is monitored carefully and we keep a strong communication link with the parents, by offering a feedback through interviews, written reports and parent evenings. We have a helpful (dedicated) Governing Body Committee who is committed to keeping the school well-maintained. The parents, principal, an educator and the school secretary serve on this committee. We also have class rep moms who volunteer from each group and they assist with various functions throughout the year.
