Meet our Woman of the Month: Alomia.
Some careers begin with a big plan. Alomia’s began as a holiday job. At 17, she was a matric learner helping out at reception at Drotsky. Little did she know that it would grow into a lifelong passion and what she proudly calls her second family.
Over the years, Alomia has worn just about every hat on the premises, growing alongside the company. In 2010, her hard work and dedication to putting Drotsky’s name on the international map earned her the Exporter of the Year award.
Today she looks after sales and exports, and no two days look the same. “I grab here, drop there, and jump from one thing to the next!” she laughs. One moment she’s chatting to a local farmer, and the next she’s arranging something on the other side of the world.
For Alomia, sales is about so much more than equipment. It’s about relationships. Whether it’s through WhatsApp, Facebook, TikTok or a good old phone call, she makes sure every customer, near or far, knows they’re never alone. We also believe in doing business with heart, keeping our prices realistic so that emerging farmers can get quality equipment and grow their dreams.
Alomia is quick to give credit to our factory team, the backbone of Drotsky, where there’s always room for a good laugh and mutual respect. And when she lost her life partner last year, it was this Drotsky family that carried her, and they continue to stand firmly by her side today.
Her wish for Drotsky is simple: continued growth and prosperity for the company, the team and every customer on the journey. Because at Drotsky, we don’t just build machines, we build relationships that last a lifetime.
